Meir Pichhadze (1955-2010) was an Israeli painter, one of the most prominent and unique artists in Israeli art.
Pichhadze was born in Georgia and began studying painting at a very young age, much to his father's displeasure.
At the same time, he worked in construction. He immigrated to Israel in 1973. He studied art at the Kalisher School of Art in Tel Aviv.
In the 1990s, he traveled to New York for several years.
Pichhadze's paintings are unique and have a distinctive language, and he often depicted Georgian landscapes, figures, and objects.
Pichhadze exhibited his works in numerous exhibitions in Israel and around the world.
